Director of Family and Adult Ministries
Job Announcement
Our Lord’s United Methodist Church has recently developed a new mission statement and is seeking qualified candidates for a new position. This full-time position is key to develop and maintain family and adult ministries in our congregation. This person will be directly supervised by the lead pastor. Major duties and responsibilities of this position include:
- Work with Education Ministry Team regarding adult and family education
- Maintain and develop bible study programs and covenant groups
- Develop and maintain nursery-toddler care system when these programs are needed
- Support existing and develop new family and adult fellowship ministries
- Support and develop welcoming programs and family ministries work area
- Increase family and adult participation in activities
- Maintain monthly church newsletter and weekly bulletin communications
Position requirements include:
- College graduate
- Background (education) in Family and Adult work or related area.
- Experience working in Family and Adult ministry (either volunteer or work related)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Organizational skills and ability to delegate
- Good knowledge of the Bible
- Working knowledge of the United Methodist Church, its history, philosophy, Discipline, and policies
- Valid drivers’ license and safe driving record
- Strong computer and phone skills

Director of Children and Youth Ministries
Job Announcement
Our Lord’s United Methodist Church has recently developed a new mission statement and is seeking qualified candidates for a new position. This full-time position is key to develop and maintain children and youth ministries in our congregation, from age three through twelfth grade. This person will be directly supervised by the lead pastor.
Major duties and responsibilities of this position include:
- Work with Education Ministry Team regarding children and youth education
- Help Lead Pastor to design and teach Confirmation program
- Maintain and develop bible study programs for teens of both junior and senior high ages
- Teach bible studies where necessary
- Assist in starting new Sunday School classes as needed
- Advise and consult VBS coordinators to ensure success of Vacation Bible School
- Coordinate and participate in youth activities throughout the year, including fundraising
- Increase children and youth participation in activities
- Develop multiple weekday/weeknight programs for children age 3 through grade 6
- Maintain monthly church newsletter and weekly bulletin communications
Position requirements include:
- College graduate
