So you're a Christian, now what?! Should you notice a difference? Should your life be changed? What should you do?
Well, you may or may not notice a difference in yourself right away. But, the key is that others should soon notice a difference in you! Your life will
be changed despite any way you attempt to fight it. So, what should you do?
For some people, becomming a Christian is a mountaintop experience. You have been in the very presence of God and he has set you on fire.
For others, becomming a Christian was a process and seemed less overwhelming, but amazing nonetheless. Either way, the challenge going forward is how to hold
on to that feeling of becomming a Christian.
Church Family
It's hard to be a baseball player without a team. It's tough to be a dancer without music. And, it's difficult to be a Christian without a church family.
Your church family is there to encourage you on your way, to lead you as you go, to learn from you and your experiences, and to pick you up when you fall.
Without the support and prayers of a church family, a Christian is like a leaf without a tree. So, the first thing you should do is find a church family. (And, hey, if you don't like our church, let us know - we'll help you find a church that's right for you!)
Faith Without Works
Okay, so hopefully now you've found a church family - not just one to listen to on the radio or one to look at from afar on the internet, but a
real church family that you visit and talk to. Now, it's time to get into action. "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." James 2:26
Your faith should be about ready to bust out. So, how are you going to show it? You could volunteer in a soup kitchen, or knit a blanket for a hospitalized baby. You could read the Bible to a senior citizen,
or mow your neighbor's lawn. The possibilities are endless! If you need some help, check out our opportunities for service. But, whatever you do, make sure to get out there and demonstrate your faith in the world.

Prayer
Don't forget to continually pray. Your conversations with God are a necessary part to your life as a Christian. Even if you're not sure you have the words, just close
your eyes, empty your mind, and listen to what God is saying to you in your life.
Growth
Finally, don't stop growing! Challenge yourself to keep learning. Just when you think you have learned all there is to know about the Bible, something new will creep
up on you to surprise you. There are many educational opportunities available at Our Lord's United Methodist Church to help foster and support your growth as a Christian.
