Linda became a member of the staff of OLUMC in July of 2000 and serves the
church as Administrative Assistant. She sees her job as a ministry, not just the person who types the bulletin. She shares her faith with others by the way she treats them – being a
friendly voice on the phone, helping people with the copy machine, having the
office organized with supplies, or helping put a project together for a
committee. She enjoys the variety of the job, and luckily, she truly enjoys
computers (good thing, eh?).
Linda sees Our Lord’s through "Lutheran eyes", having been a lifelong Lutheran,
attending Lutheran schools and being involved in most areas of the church at
one time or another. Her favorites have been singing in the choir and serving
as youth group advisor. Flower gardening is her new hobby.
Linda’s family consists of her husband, a Lutheran pastor-turned-writer, 3 great
kids ranging in age from 23 to 29, a new daughter-in-law , the sweetest grandson in the world (ask to see pictures!),
and a very sweet dog, Snickers.
She is delighted to be a part of Our Lord’s open and friendly community, has
learned a lot about the Methodist church and is thrilled that she’s been
invited to sing in THIS choir. You will catch her in the office from
8:15 to 4:45 Monday through Friday or you can contact her online. |
