Shared Ministry Agreement
Between
Caldwell United Methodist Church
and
New Berlin: Our Lord’s United Methodist Church
As sibling congregations within the Body of Christ and the United Methodist Church, we enter into this agreement of shared ministry that calls us to cooperatively work together to create a ministry context that is faithful in its use of resources.
We covenant to pray and rely upon God’s grace and guidance for our pastor and our congregations.
We covenant to give our pastor all possible support in this important work, listening carefully to the insights, and direction that emerge from the ministry partnership.
We covenant to the work of finding collaborative ways for meeting challenges, elevating opportunities for joint service and celebrating individual church revitalization.
As sibling congregations in this covenant relationship, we commit to exploring ways of supporting each other and to building bonds of Christian community between us. *
*Recognizing the United Church of Canada for the inspiration for the preamble to this shared ministry agreement.
