We are Christians who are glad to be part of the United Methodist Church. Within our community, you will find diversity of beliefs, understandings and viewpoints. What holds us together is our common faith in God as revealed to us in the life, teachings and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
We look to the Bible first to find God’s word, but we also find God speaking through the tradition of the Christian Church, as well as our own ability to think and to experience God for ourselves.
United Methodists have a passionate faith and strong convictions, but tend to recognize that the world is not always black and white. We agree in our life together to ask questions, to wrestle with difficult issues, and to do so with love and compassion.
We believe God has mercy and love for ALL people; we believe in a triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We celebrate the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion as an expression of our belief. We do this through worship, which is the heart of Life @ Our Lords.
Newcomers and visitors are warmly welcomed. As a guest you will not be asked to stand up or to wear a special name tag, though, you may be asked your name as we introduce ourselves to you. A friendship pad is passed during the service and you are invited to sign in if you wish, we do our best to follow-up and invite a further connection @ Our Lords.
