NEW THIS MONTH: September is a BIG month. Mark your calendars! Big events need lots of help. Seek out the sign-up sheet in the narthex to assist with the opening of the Story Path. Shoppers are needed to purchase staples for our planned picnic lunch after worship. Volunteers are needed for set up, lunch help and tear down. Monetary offerings are also appreciated. Find a way to help that works for you!
~ Monday, September 2: The church office will be closed in honor of Labor Day.
~ Weekend of September 6-8: Folks attending the SCW New Berlin Soccer Tournament at Valley View Park will be our guests in the parking lot. Please be aware that the traffic around the park and church will be heavy. Please abide by all parking signs which will be around the parking lot and be at the ready to offer assistance to our guests. Sunday, September 8, will also be outdoor worship. Bring your lawn chair.
~ Story Path Workdays - September 9, 11 and 13: Story pages for the story path will be loaded into frames. Work times will begin at 9 a.m. If work goes quickly, all dates may not be needed. Let Mary Schulz know if you can help.
~ Sunday, September 15: Grand Opening of the ALL Together Story Path Caldwell UMC will be joining us for our outdoor worship service, path blessing and picnic lunch to follow. We are also welcoming Rev. PyungAhn “Peace” Kim, a justice-seeking United Methodist District Superintendent serving Northwest Wisconsin. Nice Bites Ice Cream truck will be on the grounds from 11:30 -12:30. Bring friends, neighbors and grandchildren. Don’t forget your lawn chair(s).
ALSO on September 15: Come to wish Joe Whyms and his wife, Karen, Godspeed as they move to a new home and adventure in Iowa. Take this time to thank Joe for his servant heart and the many hats he wore in sharing his time, talent and treasure with Our Lord’s.
~ Thank You to everyone who has been laboring on the church grounds to help with necessary repairs and to bring the ALL Together Story Path to life. Many hands have been at work and we are grateful. Thanks be to God for each and every helper!
~ Over the summer months fresh produce from Our Lord’s Giving Garden has been delivered to Rooted and Rising as well as the New Berlin Food Pantry. The garden is slowing down, but as long as it gives, deliveries will be made.
~ Thank you to everyone donating breakfast items over the summer. Our focus this month will be supplying the needs of the story path opening.
ONGOING
~ Check out the Mission Corner located behind the Welcome Table to learn how to further support The Cathedral Center as well as Rooted and Rising through Amazon Wish List shopping. Take an information tag to assist you in accessing various opportunities to donate.

~ Continue to pray for Gaza, Israel, and Ukraine. War becomes old news to folks far away from conflict, but continues to be devastating for those directly impacted. Go to www.umcjustice.org to learn how to contact your legislators concerning issues of peace with justice.
~ Borrow books from the Church library often (located in Fellowship Hall).
~ We need to give the collection of plastic bags and bubble wrap a rest so what has been collected can be sorted. Grocery stores are another place to recycle your plastic bags. If you would enjoy being part of a sorting team, please let Pat Garrigues or Mary Schulz know.
~ (Reuse) B.Y.O.C.C. – Bring Your Own Coffee Cup on Sundays for fellowship. Fill it, enjoy it, use it as an ice breaker in getting acquainted, take it home, wash it, reuse it, or change it up!
