Saturday, November 1 SET YOUR CLOCKS BACK ONE HOUR! You won’t want to miss observing All Saints’ Day in worship on Sunday, November 2nd. Everyone is invited to bring a picture of someone you wish to remember to place on the ofrenda (an altar) located in the sanctuary.
All Ding-a-ling Wannabes! Handbell Practice has begun! Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. All are welcome! For more information, please contact Becky Perreault.
Tuesday, November 4 Bunch for Lunch at Blue Bay Restaurant, Mukwonago
Gather at noon for fellowship and food. ALL are welcome!
Sunday, November 9: Due Date for Shared Ministry Collection for Rooted and Rising! With our ministry partners at Caldwell UMC, we are collecting 110 cake/brownie mixes for Thanksgiving for families at Rooted and Rising. Please have your donations brought to either Our Lord’s or Caldwell by Sunday, November 9th.
Also on Sunday, November 9, 11:30 a.m.: Story Path Winter Prep! Looking for folks willing to assist in bringing in the story backboards, acrylic sheets, and Free Libraries. We need folks to help wash and dry the acrylic sheets and help carry materials upstairs. Bring or wear your weather-appropriate work clothes to church and then gather for pizza afterward. For those who have adopted a planter, please have your flowers brought into the building on or before November 9 so we can have markers placed in the planters for snowplowing boundaries this winter. This is a great opportunity for a volunteer who loves to do repair work to re-nail planters that need attention.

Thank you to all who made Trunk or Treat possible this year. Thank you for your gifts of candy, trinkets, your trunks, and your time to help the community know we are here and ready to welcome!
CONTINUING CONCERNS:
PRAY for peace in Ukraine. Pray the ceasefire between Israel and Gaza holds. Pray that the bodies of hostages can be returned as quickly as possible. Pray for the resolution of the obstacles that delay humanitarian aid from reaching people. Aid is getting in, but not at the numbers agreed upon in the cease-fire deal.
PRAY for hearts of mercy for those making decisions concerning the lives of people needing a safe place to live, but are facing deportation. Pray for the children of parents being held in detention centers.
Did you know a bipartisan bill has been introduced to Congress on Immigration Reform? You can find an explanation of the Dignity Act of 2025 here: The Dignity Act of 2025: Bill Summary - National Immigration Forum
Did you know a weekly vigil meets on Fridays from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at Milwaukee Ice Office, 310 E. Knapp St. You are welcome to attend. See Mary Schulz if you would like more information.
USE YOUR VOICE to contact your legislators on the myriad of justice issues facing our nation. Go to myvote.wi.gov to locate your elected officials.
BRING your own cup for fellowship, which helps keep our waste down, can start conversations, and may even give you the bravery you need to ask, “How is it with your soul?”

Have you received your copy of Our Lord’s Breakthrough Prayer? Challenge yourself to pray this prayer daily as we continue to seek God’s direction during this stewardship season.
“Holy God, quiet our thoughts and open us to carefully listen, with hope. Create willingness toward action that rebuilds the church. Use our time, talent, and financial resources to draw in others. Inspire us, through worship and prayer, to love in ways that extend and expand the possibilities for ALL to do something, on the path before us. Let it be so.”
