United Women In Faith
The mission of United Women in Faith is to connect and nurture women so that they can inspire, influence and impact local and global communities.
United Women in Faith, formerly known as United Methodist Women, is a loving, caring group of women who have grown together in their faith and are welcoming to others to join them in developing wonderful friendships. We invite you to experience the love of Christ through working, learning, and fellowship.
Over the years the group has participated in many activities. We challenged ourselves to learn more at the district’s annual School of Christian Mission, through the UMW Reading Program, and by our volunteer work for community organizations in the Metro Milwaukee area and beyond. The group raises money for missions through pledges and, in the past, the Cookie and Craft Sale.
Currently, United Women in Faith are involved in:
Mission Crafters: Meeting in the Garden Room at church Wednesdays 1:00pm-3:00pm, members work on a variety of craft projects to meet needs within our church, and both local and global outreach to community organization in need. See website for further information.
Meal Programs: At The Gathering and The Cathedral Center, these programs are off site, and our participation is several times a year, depending on the need. This is done in coordination with the Missions Team.
The Reading Program: Members self-select books from the program to read and then discuss with others. The categories from which to choose are Leadership Development, Social Action, Nurturing for Community, Spiritual Growth and Education for Mission. The books, chosen by the national UWF group, are always very interesting and challenge our minds to learn as much as we can about helping our local and global communities.
Please consider joining United Women in Faith and grow with us. If you need further information or need transportation to church, please call the church office at 414-425-7030.
