Mission Crafters
Mission Crafters: Meeting in the Garden Room at church Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., members work on a variety of craft projects to meet needs within our church, and both local and global outreach programs.
*We make prayer shawls, greeting cards, and baptismal blankets for needs within our church family.
*Bookmarks for area schools are made and delivered to elementary schools in New Berlin, Muskego, and Milwaukee. Reading is so very important for young children.
*Baby blankets and quilts, lap blankets and quilts, hats, mittens, and scarves are crafted and delivered to local agencies for their use. Keeping warm and cozy is important for everyone.
*Sturdy water filter socks are crocheted or knitted and are shipped to Water with Blessings. These socks are used in a program to provide clean, healthy drinking water for people in developing countries as well as in areas of the world hit by natural disasters.
*A Card Ministry has recently begun. Donated greeting cards are repurposed and sold at a nominal cost to members and friends of Our Lord’s UMC.
You are welcome to come any Wednesday, work on one of these projects, or just have fun fellowship with others. Please call the church office at 414-425-7030 for further information or to request transportation to church on Wednesday afternoons.
